What You’ll Learn:
- Adult, Child, and Infant CPR (Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation): Learn how to perform CPR on adults, children, and infants, including chest compressions, rescue breaths, and the use of defibrillators (AED).
- Choking Emergencies: Understand how to identify and respond to choking in adults, children, and infants, including the use of appropriate techniques such as back blows, chest thrusts, and abdominal thrusts.
- Wound Management: Learn how to clean, dress, and treat cuts, abrasions, and other wounds to prevent infection, for both adults, children, and infants.
- Burns and Scalds: Gain knowledge on how to assess and treat burns and scalds in individuals of all ages, including when to seek medical attention.
- Fractures and Sprains: Understand how to handle suspected fractures and sprains in both adults and children, including splinting techniques and when to get further medical help.
- Heart Attacks and Strokes: Learn how to recognize the signs and symptoms of heart attacks and strokes, and how to provide immediate assistance for adults and children.
- Shock Management: Recognize the signs of shock and learn how to manage it in various emergency situations, including trauma and blood loss, for all age groups.
- Seizures and Other Medical Emergencies: Understand how to manage seizures, allergic reactions, asthma attacks, and diabetic emergencies, as well as other common medical issues across all ages.
- Basic First Aid Kit: Learn about the essential items to include in a first aid kit and how to use them effectively for emergency situations.
