This course is designed to teach participants the critical skills necessary for effectively immobilising and transporting individuals with suspected spinal injuries. This course combines theoretical knowledge with hands-on practice using full spinal immobilisation equipment, ensuring that participants are well-prepared to provide immediate, life-saving care in emergency situations.

This course will guide participants through the principles of spinal injury assessment, as well as the proper use of equipment to ensure safe and effective immobilisation.

Course Equipment:
This course includes practical training with a variety of spinal immobilisation equipment:
- Spinal Boards (Backboards): For securing patients during transport.
- Cervical Collars: To stabilize and protect the neck and spine.
- Head Blocks: For added head and neck support during immobilisation.
- Straps and Strapping Systems: To securely fasten the patient to the spinal board.
- Vacuum Mattresses: For adjusting body position and providing additional stability.
- Spinal Immobilisation Kits: Full kits that contain all necessary equipment for immobilisation and patient care.
All equipment is provided for hands-on training, ensuring that participants are comfortable with the tools they will use in real-world situations.
